At Puente Romano, the most direct way to experience Marbella from the water is aboard Revolution, the resort’s 53-foot private crewed sailing boat.

Available throughout the year, private trips last from four to eight hours and accommodate up to ten guests. Paddleboards and snorkelling equipment are carried onboard, while catering can also be arranged for lunch at sea or drinks as the sun goes down. The route and activities depend on the length of the charter and conditions on the day.

Bookings can be organised through Puente Romano’s Guest Experience team, which also arranges water sports from the resort’s beach.

For those looking to rent a yacht in Marbella, a skippered charter provides privacy and the freedom to shape the day around your group while enjoying uninterrupted coastal views.  

Marbella Charter offers motor yachts, sailing yachts, catamarans and larger vessels from Puerto Banús. A shorter charter might follow the Golden Mile before stopping for a swim, while a full day can travel farther west, depending on the vessel and sea conditions.

Náutica Marbella is another option for private crewed charters, with yachts, sailing boats and catamarans departing from Marbella, Puerto Banús and Estepona. Its charters include a captain, drinks and a light snack.

The Fly Blue ferry links central Marbella with Puerto Banús in around 30 minutes. Its catamarans have seating, shaded areas, toilets, bow nets and a bar, making the crossing an easy short cruise as well as a practical journey.

For those who would rather take the wheel themselves, Banus Boats rents small motorboats from Puerto Banús without the need for a boating licence or previous experience. An instructor explains the controls and basic safety procedures before departure, allowing guests aged over 18 to explore the coast at their own pace.

The boats accommodate up to five people and include a retractable sun canopy, swim ladder, Bluetooth sound system and GPS, making them a straightforward option for a few independent hours on the water.

Puerto Banús Marina has more than 900 berths, with facilities including refuelling, electricity, water, security, concierge services and boat maintenance.
